Thanks to Laurie Wesler

She raised me and my sister Julie in her dugout and taught me the love of the game.

I hope you enjoyed Goodnight Oakland A’s - my final tribute to the team I grew up loving.

I was fortunate enough to spend 6 wonderful years working for the A’s in-house video team, and I learned better than most about the special connection between this team and A’s fans. The project I loved most during my time with the A’s, “This is Oakland” (narrated by the legendary Roy Steele), can be found by clicking here - alongside other samples I’m extremely proud of.

To me, the A’s will always be synonymous with Oakland.

To leave the Bay Area is to abandon what makes the A’s the A’s.

Goodnight Oakland A’s in the media

Author Jeremy Wesler says "Goodnight Oakland A's"

I was invited to appear on KTVU (the Bay Area’s Fox affiliate) to discuss the book and talk about the A’s last home game at the Coliseum.

One Last Ride: Dallas Braden’s Farewell to the Oakland A’s & Oakland Coliseum

(please be advised, this film contains some salty language)

Thanks to the efforts of Kara Tsuboi, I was able to get Dallas a copy Goodnight Oakland A’s just two days before the last home game. I was beyond thrilled to see the book here in this incredible documentary chronicling Dallas’ last day at the Coliseum. It was even more humbling to learn his family had read the book the night before and cried together at the loss of the team from Oakland.

The book is discussed at 1:15 and again at 22:04 (in a cameo from Amy, longtime A’s camera operator who appears twice in the book herself - can you spot her?
